What is Scrapbooking anyway?

Well it’s an American term, which has gained, over here since the hobby of transforming your photos with crafty embellishments got so popular it needed a name.   Every Picture tells a Story
The most effective way to enjoy Memories and leave your legacy is to personally design a story (or create your own fantasy) around your Memories.

Scrapbooking means creating a crafty display out of photos, stickers, sequins, beads, buttons, ribbons, feathers, leaves, glitter, jewels, etc. usually to enhance the photo memory or to make a special gift for someone. It includes handmade cards, photo frames, decoupage, embroidery and many other crafts you can display in your home.

Scrapbooking Binder Albums   At Arrowfile we first started our Scrapbooking section when the 12x12” size of the Maximus Binder albums proved to be popular for most scrapbooking projects. Apart from our usual pocket refills for photos of different sizes such as 6x 4” and 7x5” and APS sizes 7x4” and 4 x 12” we also have a refill with a pocket big enough for 12 x 12” card - RGAP1212. This means you can have a whole album full of your scrapbooking designs, which you can add to, remove, or rearrange at will.

We have had several redesigns of the Maximus album but now have a good mix of traditional and contemporary colours; they have 3 rings, and for extra versatility they will now also fit our Specialist CD/DVD refills such as RJ0CD44 if you needed to store anything digital with your creations.

Another way to store your creations and to display them is to use our Deep Box Frames which can be customised by painting or embellishing both inside the frame and out for something totally individual to you.

You can use any Traditional Photoboard Album as a Scrapbook and so we have created a category for these, some of these have fabric covers which means you can embroiders or stitch embellishments on the covers too.

Of course we stock a large range of fixing items such as photo-safe glues and glue dots, photo corners, photo stickers and double-sided tape. We stock the 12x12” card you need to start your designs and although we have found it impossible to stock a large range of embellishments we have a good range of tools to help you; such as our Round corner device P8470, our compass cutter, guillotines, scissors, cutting mats and scalpels, storage items to hold your stationery and embellishments, magnifiers to help with the fiddly bits and tongs etc.
